Welcome to SAGE LOCAL

The highest quality, organic, nutrient dense, fiber and protein-focused meals to fuel not only you - but your biology.

Eating seasonally aligns your body with nature’s rhythms, supporting digestion, hormones, metabolism, and long-term vitality in a way no one-size-fits-all diet ever could.

You're not only getting delicious, farmers market food delivered, but every meal you order directly strengthens your local food system - creating better outcomes for local farmers.

Great food shouldn't require you to compromise your values, your health, or your time. This is food with intention, community with purpose, and convenience without compromise.

About our Founder

Sage Local was founded by Lainie Clary, a chef with deep roots in both cooking and farming. Her first garden in high school sparked her love for nutrition and growing food. While she pursued her college degree in Public Health Education, she simultaneously ran her first food business - making and delivering brunch to college students.

After coordinating nutrition programs at the Foodbank, building out a food truck in Washington D.C, and working in restaurant tech sales, Lainie went on to coordinate farmers markets in Boston and for one of California’s most well-known regenerative farms, Apricot Lane Farms. There she worked closely with growers and producers and developed a deep respect for eating seasonally and sourcing with integrity.

Through years of hands-on experience in kitchens, markets, and fields, Lainie has developed a rare fluency in both food preparation and food systems. Her cooking is ingredient-forward, nutrition-conscious, and rooted in techniques learned from her travels, with a focus on meals that feel nourishing, satisfying, and quietly elevated.

Sage Local is an extension of that philosophy: chef-crafted meals made with respect for the land, community, and the everyday moments they’re meant to support.

FAQ

What makes Sage Local different than other meal prep companies?

Great question! We're different mostly because of our mission to strengthen local food systems. Your money goes directly to farmers and local producers instead of to bulk food distributors.

We also focus on eating seasonally which provides your body with the nutrients it craves at specific times of the year.

Our meals rotate weekly based on what's best in season at the market - this gives constant variety and the option to try new dishes! Kind of like a CSA subscription minus trying to figure out how to cook vegetables you've never heard of.

There are a lot of things that set us apart but quality is our #1

Why is it so expensive??

Unfortunately the highest quality ingredients come with a higher price tag. We commit to sourcing the highest quality ingredients for our meals, and thats reflected in the cost per meal. With Sage Local, you truly get what you pay for.. and what's better to invest in than your health and longevity!

How many servings is 1 meal?

We challenge you to listen to your own individual bodies, but typically one meal is enough for 1-1.5 adult servings!

Are meals ever frozen?

Never! Meals are prepared the day they're delivered to ensure maximum freshness.
